The Green Hills Golf Course
provides 18 championship holes spread over 6,800 yards of rolling terrain. You begin your
golfing experience at a beautiful 3,500 square foot clubhouse with snack bar, indoor
seating, outdoor covered patio seating, and a panoramic view of the course. A PGA
professional manages the course, provides clinics, individual lessons, and a full-service
Pro Shop. Practice facilities include a 300-yard driving range and a 7,000 square foot
putting green. Natural hazards on the course include 35 bunkers, extensive mounding, two

The new $1.1 million dollar recreation
sensation is located on a 39-acre tract adjacent to Lakeview
Estates. Features of the new facility include a lighted all-weather one-mile walking
trail, three lighted baseball/softball fields, four lighted tennis courts, two basketball
courts, three sand volleyball courts, a soccer/football field, and playground equipment.
No other community can match the recreation opportunities offered by our Chillicothe Parks &
Recreation system. In addition to the new park, a new $1,000,000 aquatic center opened
in 1993. Existing park facilities offer a second one-mile walking trail, three additional
lighted baseball/softball fields, two additional lighted tennis courts, an additional sand
volleyball court, and numerous shaded and sheltered picnic areas and play areas. |

Hedrick Medical Center
serves
as a regional hospital for a three-county area in North Central Missouri. Operated by
Saint Luke's
Health Systems, Hedrick's medical staff includes an
unusually wide range of specialists and sub-specialists for a hospital of its size. The
staff includes physicians who are board-certified in internal medicine, obstetrics,
gynecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, family practice, cardiology, pulmonology, neurology, oncology, and gastroenterology. Hedrick Medical Center's ability
to provide high tech care is highlighted by a new six-bed intensive/progressive care unit,
a computerized pharmacy, and the $150,000 Williams Diagnostic Lab.Ancillary
and support services include physical and respiratory therapy, primary-care nursing and
obstetrics. An active home-health-care department, which makes more than 2,500 visits a
month, enhances the hospital's outreach. A hospice program was recently added to this
department. An expanded emergency medical service, with 24-hour, in-house physician
coverage and a heliport, further underscore the Hedrick motto: "We're always here
when you need us." |

The Grand River Area Family YMCA offers quality recreation
to residents of the Green Hills' area. The "Y" facility boasts a six-lane,
25-yard swimming pool, whirlpool, double gymnasium, aerobics studio, babysitting area, two
racquetball courts, community meeting rooms, exercise area with modern exercise equipment,
and a 15-lap-per-mile walking/running track. The YMCA is conveniently located only three
blocks from Lakeview Estates across from Simpson Park, next to Park Center Shopping
Center. The YMCA offers a variety of programs for all ages throughout the year. |

The Chillicothe school system is the
envy of other systems statewide. With a student body of over 2,000 and a AAA state rating,
graduates of this system are well-prepared for higher education and/or the work force.
Dewey Elementary School received the highest honor the state can provide as a "Gold
Star" school (one of only six in the state). This system is also proud to have the
state president of the Superintendent's Association and the state president of the
Elementary Principals Association for 1994. Central Accelerated Elementary School, serving grades 4 and 5,
features Central Live, an award-winning television program produced by the students. Bishop Hogan Memorial School is the
primary educational ministry of St. Columban's Church in Chillicothe. As a rural Catholic
school in Livingston County, they have a 100-year heritage of educating students. For
those who wish to further their education at the vocational/technical level, the Grand River Area Technical School provides
both post and pre-graduate students with an array of courses. The Chillicothe schools not
only excel in academics, but in athletics, as well. The sports programs are second to
none. Opportunities for students include basketball, tennis, golf, volleyball, track and
field, football, wrestling, and soccer (through the Green Hills Soccer Club). State
